GIVE

(Hope)

Todays word was Give, and we were given lots and lots of rain today, immediately following that, we were given this beautiful rainbow to look at.

GIVE

(Surprise)

When we pulled into our parking lot after the rain today, we found huge pieces of hail on the ground. We had just been given a break from the surprise hail storm. Where we were, we missed it falling from the sky, but this is what we saw.

GIVE

(Replenish)

As I walked around watching the beautiful rainbow, and the steam rising from the now chilled ground, this stopped me in my tracks. So simple, so beautiful, waiting, just for me. The water has been given to replenish the earth, and this image was given to me to replenish my soul and to share with the world.

UNFOCUSED

Yes, that's right, unfocused - not really on purpose, but when I realized I couldn't get my phone to focus on the spider web, it hit me that - I was unfocused, and that would be my word of the day. I left it. I liked how the web looked there. Even when it wasn't sharp, I liked it. And maybe I will be able to focus again, tomorrow?!

~~Can't find my photo~~ FOUND IT!! - Yikes! It's been a long week. I can't keep track! I had my laptop updated and all the software re-installed and today is the first day using it again. Updated Lightroom and it seems to be having a few issues with my iPhone. Hopefully this transition to the new programs won't take too long! I'll post this photo when I finally locate it!

Ok, so it wasn't really the best shot ever, but I like it. I love my repurposed labels for the mint, the fancy cans turned pots, and the idea that I am growing something from seed!

Today I first saw this and decided I needed to stop and take photos of them - Swarms of gnats on the side of the road heading north on 301. Ew right?! We saw hundreds of them.

But then there were too many more photos from the day to stop there. We visited my dad and step mom for a bit and while my son got to play, I got to take photos with a lens he's letting me borrow for a bit. I only had about 200 photos to look through. It's a Nikon 75-300, f4.5-5.6 and I love that the lens is very quiet and is a lot faster than my old 75-300 I have had for years.
I had to share more faces of E along with some nature shots and the action that was going on all around on this fabulous holiday weekend!
