This little girl walked into my shot as I was taking it. It was such a shock to see her standing there when I looked at the image, but worked out so perfectly in my mind. Loved it.

It is kind of dark on the right, but something about the whimsy of her hair and the light, it was the only photo I ended up taking for the day!

I almost forgot again!

Actually had been thinking about taking my shot all day, and when I really think about it, it's even harder to pick one thing to take a photo of. So, tonight after rushing around to do all the things that this manic mommy had to do for her family, it was me time. I squeezed just about every minute out of my night. — Dinner for me & my husband, Dinner for the 4YO, Cleaned up dishes, Classwork (my son's), and a bit of folding laundry. 8pm rolled around and that brings the Biggest Loser, which in my home means it's time to workout (cardio) and then #tworkout with Shrinking Jeans on twitter, Sitting down for about 45 minutes, then it's time to prep for the next day's coffee, prepping lunch and finally the end being a shower at 11:30pm. I finally sat down to go to sleep and realized that I had not taken my photo yet. So, tonight's photo is really late - and taken at 12:13am - Wednesday. OOPS!! I'm still saying it's Tuesday's photo, by default (cause I hadn't gone to sleep yet)

This photo of my new kicks was taken with my iPhone using the Retro Camera app. It's The Little Orange Box camera and using the Black & White setting. I am really enjoying the different options that it has in this app, but really wish that the photos would carry the settings. I get confused which camera does what after I have taken the photo. (the app has all the info before you take the photo - not after)

Another image using my iPhone 4 and Retro Camera App. I planned this image more than I would normally when I use my phone. I saw the cloud cover and it was already dramatic. I knew I had to try the app, so I tested a few "camera" options out before selecting this look. I love the dimension and color it gave the clouds.

Fun with my iPhone today.

I downloaded a camera app and was testing it out today. The app is called Retro Camera. It has a few different camera types of "cameras" to choose from.

I mainly chose this app because Worldwide Pinhole Day is coming up and there is a Pinhole Camera option. This year the special "day" falls on Easter. I think am going to attempt to make a pinhole camera this year - I think it will be a lot of fun! They have sources available on their website for how-to's, but I have to look, I have a few I have seen elsewhere. If I find them, I'll come back and share those links. I also have a photo somewhere in my archives of my first pinhole camera, a good old fashioned coffee can camera. My dad and I actually developed the negs ourselves and printed in our basement. Miss those days of watching the prints develop in the trays. Good stuff!

The app actually makes the iPhone act like a Pinhole camera. The second photo here is the one taken with the Pinhole camera option. See how it is blurry, I obviously needed to have the phone steadier, just like a real Pinhole camera! Definitely going to test this app some more.

Having fun on this dreary low-key Saturday!

Whew - I spent my last day stuck in bed yesterday. It started out raining and gloomy, but the sky cleared up later and what I could see was really pretty.  The iPhone does a really good job of adjusting to the lighting when you pinpoint the area you want it to focus on. It took a bit, and wasn't perfect, but it finally caught the blue sky out there. This images and the previous iPhone photos from my sick stint were all SOOC. No adjustments.

Are you as bored with this view as I am? Quite honestly, it sucks. I am not good at being bedridden. And I think my family is tired of me being stuck here too. Let's hope tomorrow brings better things. Like getting out of bed and having a normal day.

I am sharing two images. One is my dual laptop mode. I was able to watch Hulu and check emails at the same time. I also watched the shuttle launch on cnn.com and had tweetdeck running and keeping me up to date on the twitter world. The other is of my yummy Rita's I insisted on today. Ours is one of the only ones open through the winter. I wish it had been open at the time of my pregnancy - I could have lived there through it. Unfortunately it probably wasn't the wisest of choices for a bronchial issue, but it made me smile for a bit.

I have to say that the iPhone camera usually impresses me with it's quality. The first shot there was no flash used, the second I needed the flash and it totally blew out the ice cream. It's not like I had a way to diffuse the light, but it might be a fun test to try when I can sit upright again!

Yep, the scenery has not changed, other than adding in a few medications. Let's hope that tomorrow brings no fever and much more energy.

It's all I could do to take pictures the last two days. I have not gotten to keep with the Joy of LOVE because the thought of holding my camera exhausts me. Instead I've taken iPhone photos. they are not very exciting, but it's my view. I was attempting to watch Biggest Loser and proceeded to fall asleep not too long after this.

51/365 19: When They're Gone

For my first photo today I took one while out and about playing today that I really liked. It was with my iPhone.

For The Joy of LOVE, the theme was "When They're Gone." When the hubby's gone, I get to make my bed and put the extra decorator pillows on it.

38/365 & 06: Who They Love

Today's Joy of LOVE assignment was "Who They Love"

Of course this assignment was easy in some ways, and not so in others. Because, who does my son love most? Mommy of course (This is a normal who loves who more fight we have in this home. sometimes we let Daddy win, but not today). That being the case, one shot was with my iPhone, cause I wasn't ruining the little Mommy time I get with my snuggle bug. It's filled with noise, but I still like it cause this is how I tend to get photos of me with my son. I once put together an entire photo album of just me and my son with photos from my phone's camera.

The other shot I took was at bed time, when we see who my son really loves more.

Just so we make this LOVE very clear. There was one stuffed animal missing, and my son has informed me that I must take it over again tomorrow when it's out of the wash.

Day 5

Spent the evening running errands. I'll see this view many more times this year.

As I was looking closer at this photo, I would have been pressed to do this better if I was really taking a product shot. Not tooting my photo skills, trust me, but I think every logo is recognizable, yet, not 100% there. You can even see the store I was shopping in on their cart strap. People get paid for this kind of stuff don't they?
