Going to the Zoo makes me think of this song we used to listen to when my son was obsessed with "Signing Time" I might be able to still sign the animals if I try hard enough. Or well, maybe not? Hmm?!!

We hung out with some friends of my husband's and it was a gorgeous day for being out in DC at the National Zoo!

I am not sure if the kids liked these showers more than the animals or not. It's hard to say.

Heartbreaker Eyes!

And they are exactly like his Big Sister's eyes!

And here's one more silly face for the camera!

You cannot expect me to leave you without sharing my favorite animal at the zoo (and no, do not look for a monkey joke here, I am serious) here he is, Leo the Lion!

Here's a few more photos from the day cause I took about 300 and two just were not enough!

I took 4 photos tonight, yep, just 4 (I know what's up with that?!) I am going to post all three. Not because I'm all like, all three were awesome photos, but really, I loved them all. Once again, my son was my model, and well he's still a crazy 4yo. I of course had different faces for every single shot. What I was taking photos of, though his crazy faces were funny, was more specifically his freckles. I grew up with a very special neighbor calling me freckle face and every summer he picked on me. I kind of got annoyed with it as a teen, but now that person is no longer here to pick on me, so I actually miss it, and him! I have made sure not to be a total mom and pick on my son, but these freckles make me smile the more they peek out from being in the sun. Poor kid!!

Oh, and I'm also just a tad proud he has blue (mostly blue) eyes!

The project for this page is to draw a boat, kayak or canoe. I am sure that my son is drawing the fishing boat from this morning's expedition.

This is the photo I forgot to take. Woke up the next day and realized it as I was driving to work. OOPS!

This was also on my iPhone. As soon as I get them off it! Here is the photo for the day! It took me a while, but it's all good. I found it! I still love these two photos, when do I get to take more of this beautiful subject?!

Can't find my photo FOUND IT!! - Yikes! It's been a long week. I can't keep track! I had my laptop updated and all the software re-installed and today is the first day using it again. Updated Lightroom and it seems to be having a few issues with my iPhone. Hopefully this transition to the new programs won't take too long! I'll post this photo when I finally locate it!

Ok, so it wasn't really the best shot ever, but I like it. I love my repurposed labels for the mint, the fancy cans turned pots, and the idea that I am growing something from seed!
