This is the photo from 2009 of my son jumping similar to the one from on Saturday.

CHERISH

Beach day for me and my son. We headed to Lewes, DE which was so perfect for us. Pulling up right to the beach to park is the best, bathroom/beach house and the waves are much lower than if we went to Rehoboth (which are towards the end of the day).

This is almost identical to an older photo of my son jumping waves. I really wish I could locate it. Too bad I haven't loaded ALL my photos into Lightroom, AND finished tagging them, it'd be so much easier to locate.

I love that he gets so serious sometimes. It's like he has the world figured out. I can't wait until the day he shows us just how well he has it figured out, and he makes a difference!

Sand angels = sand in the face!

I know the photo below won't win any awards because of the light on his nose, but it wins awards with me for many reasons. It was a bonding weekend at the beach with my son. This is the photo I posted over at flickr for the day because it captured the day for me.

It's quite obvious we'll have this happen for the rest of his summers at the beach (or anywhere for that matter). He found a cute girl to hang out with at the beach for the day.

Time to hit the boards!
Rehoboth Beach, watch out!

FUNLAND

That's him up there behind the clown.

Fun on the helicopters!

Of course I found some artsy stuff within all that noise and commotion. This is the railing by the teacups. Don't think I will have to worry about getting on those again (WHEW!). He didn't care for them and we almost had a mini meltdown...

His Skeeball "winning" a nice man gave him after he didn't do so well at 6 rounds of trying!

He was serious about going back on the beach (I've definitely taught him well) so we headed back to the car via the beach route. He of course got soaked, but in the evening "golden hour" sun, I really wished I had about $10 more in quarters. I'd have pulled the chair out and let him jump waves til the sun set! Oh, and grabbed a charged battery for my camera!

ENJOY

This is a BOLS Ballerina Music Box Bottle. It's still sealed with the original liquor & has gold flakes floating around inside. It still works too. My mother found and bought it for my sister. If you do a search on eBay, It's probably worth around $65 or more. She dances around while the gold flakes float around inside. A performance to enjoy!

GIVE
(Hope)
Todays word was Give, and we were given lots and lots of rain today, immediately following that, we were given this beautiful rainbow to look at.

GIVE
(Surprise)

When we pulled into our parking lot after the rain today, we found huge pieces of hail on the ground. We had just been given a break from the surprise hail storm. Where we were, we missed it falling from the sky, but this is what we saw.

GIVE
(Replenish)
As I walked around watching the beautiful rainbow, and the steam rising from the now chilled ground, this stopped me in my tracks. So simple, so beautiful, waiting, just for me. The water has been given to replenish the earth, and this image was given to me to replenish my soul and to share with the world.

LESS

Today's word was less, but I also heard "Find beauty in your everyday surroundings" about 3 minutes before I saw this.

WONDER

My son is staying with his grandparents this week and this was taken as we skyped with them. It was the beginning of "Hey Dad… You know what?…"

MEMORIES

This is my dad's old '54 Chevy. It's finally on the road again! YAY! My son is so excited, well, so am I. It's loaded now with a Jag engine and gorgeous  new paint job. It is licensed to be on the road after way too long! Can't wait for a dry day so he can take it out of the garage!

FRIENDSHIP

Look at this gorgeous friend of mine. All of her friends and family gathered today to celebrate her baby shower. I love her fabulous smile and how excited she looks in the expectation of becoming a mother!
I used this first photo as my photo of the day, but the rest of the photos following show all the fun things we decorated with, amazing food we ate and the time we shared with close friends throughout the afternoon! Doesn't she radiate with joy and her pregnancy? Best wishes to her and her hubby!
