Outside and away from nasty germs for a while!

58/365

Today has been a big improvement and I did not spend the day in my bedroom feeling too crappy to pick up my camera. I got a fun photo op with my guys too. Tomorrow I need to try to catch up on my Joy of LOVE assignments, and I look forward to it!

They are playing wii Boxing

And having a lot of fun

But guess who won?!!

57/365

Whew - I spent my last day stuck in bed yesterday. It started out raining and gloomy, but the sky cleared up later and what I could see was really pretty.  The iPhone does a really good job of adjusting to the lighting when you pinpoint the area you want it to focus on. It took a bit, and wasn't perfect, but it finally caught the blue sky out there. This images and the previous iPhone photos from my sick stint were all SOOC. No adjustments.

56/365

Are you as bored with this view as I am? Quite honestly, it sucks. I am not good at being bedridden. And I think my family is tired of me being stuck here too. Let's hope tomorrow brings better things. Like getting out of bed and having a normal day.

I am sharing two images. One is my dual laptop mode. I was able to watch Hulu and check emails at the same time. I also watched the shuttle launch on cnn.com and had tweetdeck running and keeping me up to date on the twitter world. The other is of my yummy Rita's I insisted on today. Ours is one of the only ones open through the winter. I wish it had been open at the time of my pregnancy - I could have lived there through it. Unfortunately it probably wasn't the wisest of choices for a bronchial issue, but it made me smile for a bit.

I have to say that the iPhone camera usually impresses me with it's quality. The first shot there was no flash used, the second I needed the flash and it totally blew out the ice cream. It's not like I had a way to diffuse the light, but it might be a fun test to try when I can sit upright again!

55/365

Yep, the scenery has not changed, other than adding in a few medications. Let's hope that tomorrow brings no fever and much more energy.

54/365

It's all I could do to take pictures the last two days. I have not gotten to keep with the Joy of LOVE because the thought of holding my camera exhausts me. Instead I've taken iPhone photos. they are not very exciting, but it's my view. I was attempting to watch Biggest Loser and proceeded to fall asleep not too long after this.

53/365 & 21: Hands

The Joy of LOVE is going to be wrapping up soon. It's been so much fun. It's been nice having ideas given to me for my daily photo. The only thing I would change is the amount of daylight there is. I cannot wait for the longer daylight hours. I might have to go back and work on all the techniques again.

52/365 & 20: When They're Home

My son is always in motion. I enjoyed these captures tonight. I think it shows exactly how busy he always is. The first shot was my favorite pick, the second my son said - "I have to have that one, that one is the best. It shows the car goes zoooooom!"

Oh, and I forgot to mention, he had all the lights turned off except I still had the TV on, and he was using my husband's camping light to see with. The time exposure was long, and was really experimental, but fun to work with!

51/365 19: When They're Gone

For my first photo today I took one while out and about playing today that I really liked. It was with my iPhone.

For The Joy of LOVE, the theme was "When They're Gone." When the hubby's gone, I get to make my bed and put the extra decorator pillows on it.

50/365 & 18: Going Out

My husband is gone for the weekend, so going out was a little hard. I picked my son up from daycare and we had a great night out and about. There weren't many people where we were, so finding someone to take a photo of us was also hard. We used the self timer instead - or I took a couple of both of us. Enjoy them all - especially the crazy kid!

48/365 16: together (Self Portrait)

I think tonight's was a lot of fun, but it was not an easy one. I see lots of little things I would like to have changed - besides having about 40 minutes more of daylight!! Bring on the summer daylight hours!

I'm posting a few so you can see how insane the boys are in my house. the first shot - yeah - that's what we're working with here... the positioning is all wrong, so we moved around. the second shot - a little too far away still... third and fourth - just love this goofy crew. finally - one I think isn't too bad in lighting or in composition. whew. i need more variety in subjects, these two are tough to work with.

47/365 15: kisses

Today's theme was kind of hard for me to visualize and I had a great idea when I crawled into bed last night. I was thinking I'd just redo the photo with my new idea, but these images weren't quite as bad as I had thought. I am going to post all three tries. (There was actually one more - it did NOT work at ALL) I'll save my idea for another image, hopefully soon!

1: My superhero son and a very sleepy Daddy. Unfortunately he isn't looking too happy, but I think it's because Super E was being a bit crazy!

2. A special momentary break in rough-housing. Really lucky to get this in focus. That kid is fast!

3. A special wedding photo that my wonderful friend took. It captured one of the first of many kisses as a married couple. This was taken in 2004. Maybe this is why she started her fabulous Megan Evans Photography business?!

46/365 14: wedding band/jewelry

I was able to take tonight's picture of our well worn wedding bands with my husband's Valentine's help. He did a great job without knowing it was going to be used for today's photo!

These rings are just two pieces of the puzzle of love, marriage, and life.

Happy Valentine's Day all!

45/365 13: Routines

Today's theme for the Joy of LOVE is routines.

At 6am my son wakes up and declares he is hungry.

He's 4 and this happens every day. Normally he is already dressed when he comes into our room.

He wants oatmeal. Since I have to leave at 6:30 it's up to him to make it himself. (No, I don't leave my son alone. My husband is here with him and they do the rest of the getting ready routine themselves.)

This is what you'll find afterwards, but hey, if this is all I find left behind, I'm not complaining!

This morning, he didn't eat his oatmeal until 10, but, he made it himself! I love my son!

44/365 12: Eyes

I took quite a few photos of "eyes" today. My son was the subject most of the time, and then some of our friends cooperated and I was able to take other photos besides torturing my family. I will post more of my eye shots after this photo, because it was my favorite, even though it was not just on his eyes. It's a look so serious and deep I have no idea what he was thinking, but it makes him look about 10 years older than his 4 years! Watch out world!

Our friend's son has beautiful eyes. I love how you can see he's grinning ear to ear in the first one without seeing his mouth.

And their daughter. For the record she was pointing out her nose, not picking it! I really wish it hadn't been so cold out, I love taking photos of her! Indoor we were too far away from the windows to get really good light. This was the best I got.

My son asked me to take a photo of him and his friend together, but they did not want to sit still and cooperate for a good shot of them. This was through the glass window at the restaurant we hung out at. It's one more serious shot! From outside I couldn't get them to both look at me at the same time.

Then finally - one good friend shot!

43/365 & 11: Dreams

My husband dreams of being a full time fly fisherman. Here's a part of that dream. All the gear that goes along with tying flies.

42/365 10: Space

Today's Joy of LOVE photo theme coincided perfectly with my day. 10: Space — where they are comfortable

I got to spend the night in a space I personally feel comfortable in. I got to spend the evening with my beautiful girlfriends. It doesn't necessarily matter where we are, it's just that we are all together. I am talking about a large group (anywhere between 10-15 of us) of friends.  Whenever we get together it's always a blast, never a dull moment. Tonight we celebrated one of us crossing over to the Fabulous 40's. It was a dinner party, so the lighting wasn't exactly the best, but I still had great subjects for photos. Here is  a photo of the gorgeous host. These photos on the wall are two things that are very important in her life—Diet coke and Tab!

She is a spectacular lady. Strong, Independent, Gorgeous, and a Survivor! Love you!

Cause I can't resist posting a few others - here ya go!

The birthday girl and our host.

My BFF and her roomie. Kisses!

41/365 & 09: Passions and Hobbies

Today's Joy of LOVE assignment is Passions and Hobbies of our Loved ones. I've photographed my son and most all of his passions numerous times, but tonight my husband was practicing on this gift I got for him. I hope he keeps up with it, cause the "Guys" April camping trip is not too far off!
