Really, I woke up and realized I hadn't taken one single photo. In 119 days!
I am so disappointed that I missed it, but, I hopefully won't let it happen again!

yeah - we had fish cake for my husband's birthday. It's supposed to be a rainbow trout. Don't judge, mkay?! It tasted good, and that is what really matters, right?

Another image using my iPhone 4 and Retro Camera App. I planned this image more than I would normally when I use my phone. I saw the cloud cover and it was already dramatic. I knew I had to try the app, so I tested a few "camera" options out before selecting this look. I love the dimension and color it gave the clouds.

The photo above is my creative photo of the day showing one of the additions to my son's 'new' room.

I've been working hard on finishing my son's bedroom upgrade from baby/toddler decor to a Outdoor bedroom look. It's been in progress for a while, but the guys were out camping for a week, so I had some time to spend without interruptions. There's lots left to do, but I definitely finished some of the larger items, like finishing the sewing of the tent cover and getting the lamp shades to match.

Here's more photos from the room redo. The log lamps are courtesy of my husband and his handiwork (they took him some time, but they were a lot cheaper than the Anthropologie versions that got that idea started). I thrift shopped for realistically beat up frames, old signs I could revamp, lamp fixtures, a spool of $1 store twine, a little swiping of flies from my husband's stash, and some good 'ole roughing it ideas! It was really great to see my son's face when they got home tonight and how excited he was seeing the things I had finished. Mostly I think he was excited about the tent not having pins in them any longer. I also liked how easily he went to bed when he remembered he could close up his tent flaps when he got into bed, hope that lasts a while!

Fun with my iPhone today.

I downloaded a camera app and was testing it out today. The app is called Retro Camera. It has a few different camera types of "cameras" to choose from.

I mainly chose this app because Worldwide Pinhole Day is coming up and there is a Pinhole Camera option. This year the special "day" falls on Easter. I think am going to attempt to make a pinhole camera this year - I think it will be a lot of fun! They have sources available on their website for how-to's, but I have to look, I have a few I have seen elsewhere. If I find them, I'll come back and share those links. I also have a photo somewhere in my archives of my first pinhole camera, a good old fashioned coffee can camera. My dad and I actually developed the negs ourselves and printed in our basement. Miss those days of watching the prints develop in the trays. Good stuff!

The app actually makes the iPhone act like a Pinhole camera. The second photo here is the one taken with the Pinhole camera option. See how it is blurry, I obviously needed to have the phone steadier, just like a real Pinhole camera! Definitely going to test this app some more.

Having fun on this dreary low-key Saturday!

The dairy farm! So much fun!

This fabulous Easter idea came from Living Locurto. I always find the greatest ideas on her site. I had so much fun making these marshmallow chicks with my son. He did most of these himself and were perfect for daycare gifts. The kids loved them and the teachers were really impressed. I used the free tags she created and then printed all the brands for each ingredient to make them to make sure the parents of kids with allergies knew what they were made with. Plus - I was sure there were a few people that wouldn't have seen food markers before. Like my husband - asking me why we were drawing on marshmallows with markers.

I think what I love most about this daily photo is that it makes me find the beauty in my small neighborhood. Just a few steps away from my front door, my house may already be in the shadows, but this silent ray of sunlight was peeking out just over our row of houses and took my breath away. It was perfect for today!

This is an exciting number 100?!!! I can't believe I made it 100 days into this project. I am definitely enjoying this commitment I have made to myself more with every shot I take. I hope you all are enjoying the photos as much as I am!

When I said I was going to get out today to take my picture, I never knew that I'd have so many different subjects or such a hard time trying to decide which one to post. My most favorite is the one at the top, but it was almost the last shot I took tonight.

As a family we went out to search for a rock. Yes, a rock. I have my husband working on a project and when it's done, I am definitely going to post a photo. This is an old railroad bridge in Savage Mills. I love the lines. I really wanted to jump over to the railroad track which is barricaded off, but then that would not be such a good thing for my son to see, now would it. I would have definitely had better shots, and I could have gotten the darn basketball some kid threw onto it!

You know I took some photos of my favorite little guy. This is only ONE of the many!

When we got home and it was still sunny and nice out, who the heck wanted to go inside?! We sure didn't. so, we hung outside a little longer. The neighbors were out and about again, and this little model, she is fascinated with seeing her photo. Her big sister finally got in a few shots too.

Yes, there are quite a few, but one photo tonight would not have been
enough to express the fun and energy that this night held! Enjoy!
(I even managed a self portrait - look into her eyes!)

My son buried something he called a wooden brick. He came inside determined to find some paper because he decided he needed to make a sign to tell people what he did. He really did a great job of sounding this out and spelling it. Being the true proud mom I had to take a photo to keep this memory saved forever!

Thanks to SugarDerby I made super yummy Hostess Cupcake Cake Balls and they were the perfect subject to take photos of tonight. It was worth the time to make them!
