Got $1000.00?
A Saturday in Dover is not complete without a stop into Spence's Bazaar.
The main building has changed a lot since the years I lived in Dover, but it's still a great place to visit if you have time to wander around, if you are looking for some antiques, looking for fresh veggies, or even looking for some cheap finds.
We stopped in for a bit and I had a blast snapping shots. The first two are some bargain buys (kidding). If you have a Grand (if you search online, I think that's a bit steep) burning a hole in your pocket and you're a fan of Howdy Doody, you'll be wanting this cookie jar!
The second shot you have to look carefully in the background. Yes, It's a Yellow Submarine Cookie Jar.
The guy said he had no idea what it would sell for, but it was also signed. Hmm, any takers? - I think you'd have to take this or this to him, cause it's fairly new according to what I can find. Thinking he doesn't know too much about what he is selling, or he needs to be more educated on what he has.
After the rain stopped, we just played outside with the neighbors. Look at the blue eye on this cutie pie!
And since it is race weekend in Dover, we HAD to find a race car that my son could check out. Especially when he saw the drivers being interviewed with Dover International Speedway signs behind him and told me "Mom, we have to go see them!"
The best we could do was try the mall to see a Kyle Bush car #18. It's a car that my son has in his hot wheel collection. He was really excited. As we drove to the mall, sitting in traffic passing the race track, they must have been cleaning up from the crash at the end. It was super quiet. Not normal! Look at the last shot. We walked out the mall doors to the back and he got his first taste of the sound of the race cars!
